Manchester Caster Arm Chair is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great chair, but...... This is a great chair for carpeted areas. Otherwise, the way the legs of the chairs sit will scratch your floor. Any type of covering wears off after just a few days.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We bought a smaller verison few years ago. This table is amazing as the gear mechanism under the table top allows for the leaf to be stored there. Our family is growing so we really need a larger table. The only draw back is we want chairs that swivel and have casters and it is going to be about impossible as the board that hides the mechanism makes the clearance for any chair with arms not high enough. Otherwise this table is excellent for large families!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I was so excited to finally find the exact table and charges I wanted for my kitchen and family gatherings. It's beautiful. However, I was surprised to find how easy the table scratches. It is advertised as a family heirloom piece. I don't know how it will make it generations. I thought solid oak would stand up to nearly everything. But, I've barely used the table for eating and there are so many tiny scratches and marks. If you have any suggestions on how to prevent further or to buff out the scratches, I would greatly appreciate it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Dining set Bought the oak Manchester Dining Table and Chairs several years ago (pre-2008). I was replacing an antique oak table, so wanted a good solid oak table and heavy chairs in a traditional style. I got 6 Pressed Back chairs at the time, rather than the Windsor, arrow back chairs, knowing a couple more needed to be added down the road. I also needed to be able to seat at least 10 (8 family members living at home at the time), leaves were a must. I love that I can expand this to seat 10 comfortably (and have seated more when some were smaller children), or shrink it to seat 6, taking less space. And love that the leaves store under that table. The table is easy to expand, with the gear mechanism. The table and chairs have held up great to my large family and many guests. My only regret is that the pressed back chairs were no longer available when I went to add a couple more a few years ago. I ended up getting the Windsor armchairs, and am not happy with them - nothing wrong with them, just too big and bulky, wish I'd gotten the regular ones. (And one chair has a big glue drip on one of the back posts.) The tabletop now needs refinished after many years of multiple times daily use by 6-10 or more people, as would be expected. I would buy it again, and would recommend it to others.
