Real Spaces: Haley's Modern-Vintage Craftsman Tour
Welcome to episode 2 of Real Spaces with Furniture Row! In this episode, we step inside Haley’s 1912 Craftsman home in Denver’s vibrant Platte Park neighborhood.
This real-life sanctuary is a testament to the enduring appeal of classic architecture, but what really sets it apart is Haley's ability to layer modern and vintage styles throughout. From the moment you step onto the welcoming front porch—complete with the Key Largo Hanging Chair—you're greeted by a cozy, contemporary vibe that hints at the thoughtful design waiting inside.

The Front Bedroom: A Cozy Retreat
The front bedroom perfectly captures the home's modern-vintage approach. Bathed in natural light from the Craftsman divided-light windows, this space balances the best of both worlds. A sturdy bed with an upholstered headboard anchors the room, while black and white nightstands add a crisp, modern accent. And of course, the Modish Accent Chair perfectly perches next to the window for the ultimate reading nook.

“In my roommate's room, she has this cute little reading nook that, not only has she just decorated it in such a charming way, but like is this not the best place to like cozy up? I'll sit and cuddle with the pup, or like chat with my roommate or I'll just kind of creep on the neighbors and it's really fun.” - Haley

The Living Room: The Heart of the Home
The living room and dining room flow together in an unintentionally open layout that feels fresh and current, yet still honors the home's roots. Exposed wooden beams and hardwood floors provide a classic backdrop, but Haley’s modern-vintage vision shines through in her furniture choices.
The Nouvelle Velvet Sofa, Dawson Swivel Accent Chair, and Blakely Accent Chair create a super-soft, transitional seating arrangement. Then, the Sol Coffee Table and Eno Heriz Rug lighten things up with contemporary colors and textures. Whether it’s reading a good book or hosting movie night, this cozy living space uniquely balances warmth, character, and chic style.

"I'm just kind of figuring out styles as I go. I don't know that I am necessarily one that subscribes to a certain movement, but I do take on the mid-century modern look, or like blending the heirloom with the current." - Haley

The Dining Room: A Blend of Old and New
In the open dining room, the Mesa Verde 5 Pc. Counter Height Dining Set serves both as Haley's workspace and a gathering spot for friends thanks to its modern height and welcoming bench.
A unique blend of vintage and contemporary furnishings highlights the home’s evolution over time. Haley has paired the classic Mountain Home Barn Door Bookcase with eclectic art and lush greenery that pops against the natural wood tones and bright white walls.

“What was really important to us was to have a dedicated space where we could hang out and host people. I love hosting people… (the table) is tactually is something that's really practical and I can sit here and take meetings when I'm working from home, or we can have our friends over.” - Haley
The Kitchen: Functional and Fashionable
Blending old and new, the kitchen’s whimsical atmosphere melds original cabinetry with modern convenience and thoughtful storage additions. For instance, the Traverse City Server stands expertly along the first wall of the kitchen as a stylish coffee bar, making this open and airy space a subtle echo of the home’s “unintentional open layout.”
Natural wood finishes and classic hardware pay homage to the Craftsman tradition, while a mix of vintage and contemporary decor adds character. And, the Rayna Machine Washable Runner Rug is the perfect splash of color.

“So we have this server, which is really great. Obviously we need coffee and we need tea, and we don't have a dedicated pantry...So we do use some of this as a pantry, as well as just more storage for dining and hosting and all of that, which is a game changer.” - Haley
